Business & Office Education

Business Education1  The Department of Business & Office Education has expanded its course offerings for the present school year.  In addition to offering Introduction to Business Computer Applications (IBCA), Business Computer Applications (BCA), Entrepreneurship and COE (Cooperative Office Education), we have added Principles of Business back into the schedule.  Future plans include offering Accounting and Business Law to help better prepare those students who wish to pursue careers in management, marketing, finance, and general business.

Students enrolled in business courses may pursue certification in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, & Powerpoint) to give them an "edge" as they apply for jobs; others in the department may earn certification in Customer Service which aids them in obtaining positions in the world of business.  Those who enroll in Entrepreneurship prepare a business plan and simulate all of the requirements in starting and running a business.  Seniors who apply for and are selected to participate in the COE program gain experience working for local employers who prepare them for future roles in business and office education.
